Central Texas Food Bank Fresh Foods for Families Event: Tuesday, July 19th, fruits and vegetables for the community. Please sign up at 9:00 a.m., please bring your grocery bags. Fresh Foods for Families event is every third Tuesday of the month.

Central Texas Food Bank Healthy Options Program for the Elderly (HOPE): Thursday, July 14th, at 9:00 a.m. Packaged food for individuals 55 years of age and up. To register for HOPE program please call 512-972-6840 for appointment. Please bring your grocery bags.

Social Services available: For assistance call Cliff Chong, Social Worker, at 512-972-6851, to schedule appointment.

Summer Fan Drive: For assistance with the Summer Fan Drive program please call 512-972-6840 for appointment.

Emergency Food Pantry: For assistance with emergency food pantry, to enroll in SNAP, and clothes closet call 512-972-6840 for an appointment.

Workforce Solutions located at South Austin Neighborhood Center: Services to help individuals enter or reenter today’s competitive job market. WERC Career Counselor Maggie Whitley, 512-972-6655, office 112.

Free Pregnancy Testing: Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Thursdays, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Proof of Pregnancy Report available for Medicaid and Chip. (No pregnancy testing July 19th). Please call 512-972-6854 to schedule pregnancy testing on another day.

Free Fasting Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, and Blood Pressure Screenings available: Call Judy Alvarado, RN at 512-972-6854 for appointment.

Free Computer Classes by Classes: Computer basics, mouse/keyboard fundamentals, internet safety, operating system basics, internet safety for kids, internet/email fundamentals. Call 512-972-6840 for times available.

Dove Springs Recreation Center, 5807 Ainez Dr., Capital Area Food Bank Events for Families: The first Friday of each month is Mobile Food Pantry distribution at 9 a.m. The second Friday of each month is Fresh Foods for Families distribution at 1:00 p.m. at Dove Springs Recreation Center. Please bring grocery bags. The program is in need of volunteers, call 512-972-6840 to volunteer, thank you.
